Site details
Site description: The Campeda Plateau is a vast volcanic area with a predominantly steppe landscape (about 80% of the surface), characterised by overlapping basalt flows, which is home to a semi-natural habitat. The vegetation is dominated by arid areas with Mediterranean grasslands, steppes and oak-tree pastures, but along the watercourses there are carpets of water buttercups and plant species associated with temporary wetlands.
Manageability of the site: Site identified based on BirdLife International's Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, under which manageability is strongly recommended but not explicitly documented
