The value of KBAs in guiding revision of National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plans (NBSAPs)

We recently released a document that can guide governments in how they can use KBAs to meet some of the targets and indicators of the GBF

Key Biodiversity Areas are useful for guiding countries in three main areas of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF): a. Identification of sites of importance for biodiversity to guide expansion of protected and conserved areas to 30% by 2030; b. Identification of Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures (OECMs); and c. in national spatial planning.
