Site details
Site description: This site consist of two mountains, Gunung Tangkuban Perahu (2023 m) and Gunung Burangrang (2064 m) which are located around 21 km north-west of Bandung.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: The important faunas in this site are Hylobates moloch, Presbytis comata and Trachypithecus auratus (Nijman 1997)

Summary of habitats in KBA: Gunung Tangkuban Perahu has mountain forest with botanical and aesthetic value, active volcano crater and scenic surroundings. Habitat type of Gunung Burangrang is upper mountain rainforest (MacKinnon et.al 1982) This area surrounds by plantations (Anon 1990).
