Site description: A rugged landscape with many small gorges, small Quercus and Juniperus woods, scrub and arable cultivation. The main human activities are sheep-grazing and forestry.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: This is an important breeding area for cliff-nesting raptors, particularly Gyps fulvus and Neophron percnopterus.
