Site description: Small (ca. 1/3 acre) permanent pond at N 13 degrees 10' 00.95' W 59 degrees 27' 09.01' is situated in the village of Bayfield.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Evidently this pond is of importance to the dry season survival of Masked Duck Non-bird biodiversity: Not applicable.
