Site details


Site description: A peninsula in the Black Sea, near the Dnepr delta. There are numerous lakes and lagoons (fresh, brackish and salt water), set in a mosaic of steppe, pseudo-steppe and small forestry plantations.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
