Site description: Located in Hejin and Yuncheng cities, along the Huang He and Fen He rivers. In the past, this area was named Longmen (Dragon Gate).
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)

Delineation rationale: 2009: the two 2004 IBAs Yuncheng Swan Nature Reserve (SitRecID 15615; CN266; 4800 ha) and Heijin Nature Reserve (SitRecID 15616; CN265; 4689 ha) have been merged to form the 2009 IBA Yuncheng Wetland Nature Reserve (SitRecID 27240; CN309; 86,861 ha).
