Threats

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: One of the most important terrestrial localities in Denmark with probably the highest number of rare and threatened plants and insects recorded at any one site in the country. The site is protected at national level and logging has been prohibited in some forest areas. Restoration projects to expand areas of chalk meadows and dry grasslands on chalk are ongoing. The most valuable areas are state-owned.
