Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: 2 species trigger IBA criteria at this Marine IBA. Seaward extensions around breeding colony; Danjo islands include key near-colony areas for breeding populations of Streaked Shearwater (LC) and Japanese Murrelet (VU).
Delineation rationale: Site identified by applying a colony extension to SitRecId - 15173, 15173
