Site description: A steep island, with slopes partly covered in grass and with boulder scree around the base.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: Other breeding seabirds include Hydrobates pelagicus (breeding confirmed in 1986; possibly c.100-1,000 pairs).
