Threats
Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Surveys undertaken in 1999 show increases in numbers of Phalacrocorax carbo, Somateria mollissima and several species of seabird (for example, Cepphus grylle). This is thought to be as a result of nutrient enrichment in the Gulf of Bothnia leading to increases in fish stocks.
