Site details
Site description: The site is covered by large expanses of forest, mainly coniferous and dominated by pine Pinus and fir Abies. There are many fish-ponds, mainly in the area of Ruda Ró¿aniecka village, and wet areas of Pinus forest with bilberry Vaccinium and small reed-grass Calamagrostis.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.
Additional biodiversity: Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (one pair).

Threats
Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Fish-farming involves the cutting of grass and sedge during the breeding season, which disturbs nesting birds.
