Site details


Site description: One from ten pine forest patches located on the Bugulminsko-Belebeevskaya upland, with the age about 180-200 years. This is an system from not so large pine forests along right bank of Syun' river. Forests are surruonded by agricultural fields.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Delineation rationale: 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 54°50'45'N 53°52'43'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 3670 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
