Site details


Site description: One of ten existing on Bugulminsko-Belebeevskaya upland forests with the age about 150-200 years old. Rather large part of IBAs were cutting in previous years, but in the center of massive patches of native forests are still exist.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Delineation rationale: 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 55°13'59'N 53°52'10'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 5820 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
