Threats

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Nutrient pollution of wetlands is a problem (`Other' threat), as is the abstraction of water to supply lower-lying agricultural polders. The restoration of marshland (formerly agricultural grassland) will enable a link to be made between this site and the Ankeveense Plassen marsh area (the northern part of site 073) in the near future.
