Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Up to 6000-7000 individuals of A.Platyrhynchos, A.crecca, Aythya sp., Fulica atra etc. are counted at sites in the end of breeding season.
Delineation rationale: 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 50°5'17'N 43°26'1'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 1567 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
