Site details

Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Delineation rationale: Boundaries enlarge almost twice during more carefull field surveys. So, all bird data before 2005-2006 should be applyed only for 3000 ha of site's area. Bird numbers in 2005-2006 are given for 6000 ha (IBA in new boundaries). 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 45°47'9'N 44°4'54'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 5800 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
