Site details
Site description: Located within the boundary of Qindeli Farm, Tongjiang City. The reserve extends 77 km from east to west, and the habitats include sandy beaches, marshes and forests.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Twenty-seven species of mammals have been recorded in the area, including Cervus nippon, Alces alces, Martes zibellina, Ursus arctos, Selenarctos thibetanus, Cervus elaphus, Lutra lutra and Lepus timidus. Nationally protected plants include Fructus schisandrae, Phellodendron chinense and Fraxinus mandshurica.
