Site description: Qixing Lazi Siberian Tiger Nature Reserve is located on the northern slopes of Wanda Shan mountain, in an area with many forestry farms. Natural vegetation covers an area of 20,971 ha within the reserve.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Panthera tigris altaia, Felis lynx, Martes zibellina, Cervus elaphus, Lepus timidus, Lutra lutra and Selenarctos thibetanus. Nationally protected plants include Phellodendron chinense, Fraxinus mandshurica and Juglans mandshurica.
