Site details
Site description: Located on the edge of Tailai County. It is a marshy area surrounded by sand dunes and grassland, and habitats include forestry woodland, reservoir, river and reedbeds.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: More than 20 species of mammals are recorded, including Canis lupus, Vulpes vulpes, Nyctereutes procyonoides, Arctonyx collaris, Mustela eversmanni and Ondatra zibethicus.
