Site details


Site description: Located in Zhenlai County, western Jilin Province, 22 km from the city. The IBA includes 30,000 ha of marshes, 20,000 ha of grassland, 11,540 ha of woodland and 11,200 ha of agricultural land.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Mammals include Canis lupus, Vulpes vulpes and Lepus capensis.
