Site details
Site description: Located in Holqin Youyi Zhongqi (a district unit similar to a ‘village’). The IBA includes the flood plain near the southern slopes of the Da Hinggan Ling mountains, with large areas of marshland. The natural vegetation is well preserved in this area.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Procapra gutturosa occurs in this area.
Delineation rationale: WPDA polygon used, accuracy difficult to determine, however, boundary bears little relationship to underlying geography
