Site details


Site description: Located in the northern part of the Min Shan mountain range, in south-western Zhugqu county and southern Tewo county. The Bailong Jiang river forms the northern border to the site and it borders Sichuan in the south. The typical landscape of the IBA is high mountains and deep valleys.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
