Site details


Site description: Located in Wa’an County, at the source of the Wuyang River. There are three main rivers flowing through the IBA, the Changling He, Zhujia He and Lacha He, and there is c.2,500 ha of subtropical broadleaf evergreen forest.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
