Site details
Site description: This IBA includes the whole of Longlin and Xilin counties, and the area between Tianlin County and Panying Shan mountain. It lies at the edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The vegetation is well preserved in the IBA, and includes intact broadleaf and coniferous forests.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Andrias davidianus, Python molurus, Manis pentadactyla, Felis temmincki, Viverricula indica, Viverra zibetha and Moschus berezovskii.
Delineation rationale: Boundary digitized by Gill Bunting at Birdlife International using Google Earth. Accuracy difficult to determine.
