Site description: Located 21 km south-east of Bogor.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Presbytis comata and Trachypithecus auratus (MacKinnon et.al. 1982, Nijman 1997)
Habitats
Summary of habitats in KBA: The slopes of the mountain are covered by lowland rainforest and secondary forest/shrubs.Forested area begin from 600 m (Erftemeijer 1987). Although only few information already known from this site, but based on the good forest condition it is predicted that the site is important for biodiversity.
