Site description: Located around 40 km east of Jember.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Bos javanicus, Cuon alpinus, Panthera pardus and Trachypithecus auratus (Whitten et.al.1996, Nijman 1997).
