Site description: A forested area on the shores of Kuybyshev reservoir.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: 3-5 pairs of breeding raptor in total.
Delineation rationale: 2009-08-20 (BL Secretariat): IBA area changed from 22,400 ha to 25,297 ha (following RBCU spreadsheet of changes that need making). 2014-08-12 (BL Secretariat): centroid coords adjusted to 53°57'50'N 48°36'17'E and site area changed to (or confirmed as) 25297 ha (rounded), on basis of refined polygon downloaded from Spatial Database on Important Bird Areas of Russia 2014 (© Russian Bird Conservation Union, © Transparent World).
