Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Delineation rationale: 2013-07-25 (BL Secretariat): the IBA boundary includes the area of Meinmahla Kyun KBA (identified in the 2012 Ecosystem Profile for the Indo-Burma Hotspot) which is however registered as a separate site (KBA only; SitRecID 31563) in WBDB. IBA includes Meinmahla Kyun and Letkokkon.
