Site description: An area of arable cultivation with several natural and artificial lagoons.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: The site is important for steppic species and wildfowl. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Tetrax tetrax (22 resident pairs) and Otis tarda (14-27 resident pairs).
