Site details


Site description: A mountainous area on the southern edge of the Pyrenees. The vegetation includes maquis, Pinus plantations, and extensive scrub and grassland areas. The main human activities are forestry, livestock-farming and recreation.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: This is an important area for raptors.
