Site details
Site description: A range of hills with Mediterranean scrub, dehesas and a few olive-groves. The main human activities are livestock-grazing and game hunting.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: Breeding birds include seven of the 20 species in Europe that are restricted to the Mediterranean biome (when breeding).
