Threats

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Forest-fires (both natural and man-made) are a major threat. Overgrazing by feral goats Capra hircus restricts vegetation regeneration. A conservation programme for Fringilla teydea polatzeki has run since 1991 (with LIFE funding in 1995 and 1996).
