Site description: Sclerophyllous scrub and Pinus forests, mixed woodland, scree, rocky slopes, cliffs, alpine grasslands and permanent snow.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
Additional biodiversity: An important site for the endemic Sitta whiteheadi and endemic subspecies such as Accipiter gentilis arrigonii, Buteo buteo arrigonii, Troglodytes troglodytes koenigi and Muscicapa striata tyrrhenica.
