Site description: A river valley with associated riverine forest, wet and mesophile grassland, deciduous woodland, marshes and reedbeds (Phragmites).
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.
Additional biodiversity: The site is important for birds breeding in wetlands and riverine forest.

Threats
Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: The intensification of agriculture, particularly the ploughing of grasslands for arable crops, is the main threat. The afforestation of natural wet meadows is also a significant threat. The site is included in an agri-environmental scheme.
