Site details


Site description: Located in Yunlong County, Dali Baizu Autonomous County. The main habitat types are evergreen broadleaf forest, deciduous broadleaf forest, coniferous forest, scrub and grassland, and there are also montane lakes and streams. The IBA has a significantly large area of primary Yunnan pine forest and serves as a seed bank for this species.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
