Site description: The site includes garrigue, dry meadows, cliffs and rocky slopes.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.
Additional biodiversity: The site is important for breeding raptors, Mediterranean and mountain species. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Tetrax tetrax (breeding).

Summary of threats to biodiversity at KBA: Abandonment of stock-raising is the main threat, leading to growth of bushes and trees in alpine habitats. There is also a risk of urbanization. There is a project to designate an SPA in the site.
