Site details

Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that was identified using previously established criteria and thresholds for the identification of Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBAs) and for which available data indicate that it does not meet global KBA criteria and thresholds set out in the Global Standard.
Delineation rationale: 2004: the 2000 IBA Upper Wisla River Valley (SitRecID 938; PL061) has been split into the four 2004 IBAs of Upper Vistula River Valley (SitRecID 24463; PL122), Brzeszcze ponds (SitRecID 24098; PL123), Lower Sola River Valley (SitRecID 24095; PL124) and Lower Skawa River Valley (SitRecID 22130; PL125).
