Site description: Located on the border between Lufeng County and Chuxiong City, in Chuxiong Prefecture. The main habitat type is Yunnan pine, but it is mixed with evergreen broadleaf forest, scrub and riverine wetlands. Forest cover is c.97.7%.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance that meets the thresholds for at least one criterion described in the Global Standard for the Identification of KBAs.
