Site description: The IBA represents a unique loess plateau situated in South Bačka region, between Tisa river to the east and the Danube to the south. It has an ellipsoid form and is characterized by steep slopes at the margins, surrounded by numerous pastures and wet meadows. It stretches through the municipalities of Titel and Žabalj.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
