Site description: A small river valley with meadows and marshes. Habitat and land-use data are subjective estimates.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: The site was designated as a Special Protection Area on the basis of breeding populations of five species listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive. With the possible exception of Botaurus stellaris, these species no longer breed.
