Site description: A freshwater lake with adjacent agricultural land and remnants of semi-natural woodland and grassland.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: The lake is polluted and few birds currently breed. Detailed data are only available from 1983 when the site was considered to be of international importance for staging Anser fabalis (1,200 birds).
