Delineation rationale: Mainly adopted from official polygons for two protected areas (Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park and Skjækra Protected Landscape). Small extensions have been made in the south. The area around Gaundalen, Ståggåfjellet and Grønlivatnet is also indlcluded. The northeastern part of Blåfjella-Skjækjerfjella National Park is not part of the IBA.
