Site details
Site description: An isolated area of forest in a steppe zone, dominated by Quercus. The forest contains many small clearings with wetlands and patches of grassland.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: This is an important site for breeding forest species and migrating passerines. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (4-8 passage birds).
