Criterion B3 involves identifying species restricted to specific terrestrial, freshwater, or marine ecoregions or bioregions. A curated list to determine which species qualify is available here. This list is created by intersecting the IUCN ranges of species with ecoregion and bioregion maps to determine where more than 95% of a range falls within a eco/bioregion. Bespoke lists of eco/bioregion species are also added where experts have provided these. Please contact the KBA Secretariat if you want to propose a bespoke list for a taxonomic group within an eco/bioregion.
