This KBA harbors the range restricted species Myrmoderus eowilsoni, Machaeropterus eckelberryi and Capito wallacei.
Additional biodiversity: Ara militaris
Manageability of the site: This site could be managed by the National Forest and Wildlife Service (SERFOR), because it is the buffer zone of Cordillera Azul National Park, so it falls under its jurisdiction; but it is also possible for the San Martín government to address the manageability of the area.
