Site details


Site description: Located in Soling District of Da Hinggan Ling Region. Nanweng He Nature Reserve is in a hilly region on the eastern slope of the Da Hinggan Ling mountains, and includes the largest marshes in the Da Hinggan Ling area.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: More than 30 mammal species have been recorded, including Alces alces, Cervus elaphus, Felis lynx, Ursus arctos and Vulpes vulpes.
