Site details
Site description: Located in the east of Zoigê County. The main habitats are coniferous forest, scrub and grassland, and areas below 3,200 m have largely been converted into agricultural land.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Panthera pardus, Felis lynx, Felis temmincki, Ailurus fulgens, Cervus unicolor, Cervus elaphus, Moschus berezovskii, Moschus sifanicus, Naemorhedus goral, Ovis ammon and Pseudois nayaur.
