Site details
Site description: Zhejiang Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve is located in the western part of Lin’an City, and is part of the northern section of the Baiji mountain ranges between Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. At 1,787.4 m, Qingliangfeng is the highest point in the IBA and in north-western Zhejiang.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected plants include Psedolarix kaempferi and Liriodendron chinense. Animals include Panthera pardus, Neofelis nebulosa, Capricornis sumatraensis and Cervus nippon.
