Site details


Site description: Located in the north-western part of Wencheng County. The IBA is part of an extension of the Luo Shan mountains, and the highest point is Yangdinggang at 1,362 m.
Rationale for qualifying as KBA: This site qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because it meets one or more previously established criteria and thresholds for identifying sites of biodiversity importance (including Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas, Alliance for Zero Extinction sites, and Key Biodiversity Areas)
Additional biodiversity: Non-bird biodiversity: The nationally protected Macaca arctoides was recorded in 1983.
